I hope you haven't tuned out from my blog.

So much has happened and it's been a long time, especially in dachshund time. We moved to a lovely big house with a big lush backyard. Mummy and Daddy were very busy when moving, not too busy to give me lots of hugs of course but too busy to let me onto the computer to blog. Also Mummy was training for a very important race, the City2Surf and I'm so proud of her. My legs would have to move really fast for a long long time to run 14kms!

My blogging break meant I spent a lot of time sunbaking and relaxing with J in my new backyard. Ok, I do that regardless of blogging or not....

Then Mummy got a new MacBook which I haven't been allowed to get on - because it's new and shiny but it's also Mummy's new toy *sheesh*

I love my new house and you will be reading about all the new adventures I have here.

Bit quiet

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. It's all happening here - Mummy & Daddy are moving! Therefore it's been a big week here and I've been super good for my Mummy helping her pack.

A tribute to Hendrix

I know about Doggy Heaven because my Mummy tells me about my Uncle Fritz and he went there a long time ago. Today a special friend has gone to Doggy Heaven. Hendrix is the fur baby of my mummy's friend Kelli-Ann. She is lovely and Hendrix has been very lucky to have her as her a mumma.

Hendrix was 14 and lived with his mummy for 11 years. He was a rescue dog just like me. Isn't it nice that we were rescued to be spoilt! We are very lucky to have such special mummas who love us and spoil us so much.
Hendrix will be very missed by his mumma (and siblings). Please go and give your mummies a big hug today.

When Marc goes to the gym in the morning I stare at the door willing him to come back.

So as you know Mummy lets both Jasmine and I up onto the lounge. We have our own blanket that we snuggle on. Although Marc doesn't let us up on the lounge.

A new career for me?

A scale replica of a former U.N. office in Geneva, Switzerland, will be constructed by Miller in the Melbourne Museum plaza, where it will remain for the duration of the 2010 Next Wave Festival. Each Saturday afternoon, this structure will play host to a meeting of the U.N.’s Commission on Human Rights, wherein all 47 of the national delegates are live dachshunds, or ‘sausage dogs’.

Dachshund U.N. is both a joyful and chaotic experiment, and a meditation on the utopian aspirations of the Commission on Human Rights, and our capacity as humans to imagine and achieve a universal system of justice. Audiences are invited to these exclusive live viewings of the operations of the Dachshund U.N., where 47 specially recruited dachshunds will engage in rigorous debate.
